Richtis Gorge is located near Exo Mouliana, between Agios Nikolaos and Sitia in Crete’s Lasithi region. Its stream winds through dense vegetation, with tall plane trees and shaded rocks creating a green setting that stands out from the surrounding landscape.

Along the trail, the stone arch of Lachanas Bridge and the remains of old watermills offer glimpses of the area’s past. The highlight is Richtis Waterfall, which drops approximately 20 metres into a small pool surrounded by lush greenery.

The route continues beyond the waterfall to Richtis Beach, where the wooded gorge meets the rocky coast. Exploring this changing landscape brings together flowing water, traces of rural history and views of the sea, making the walk a memorable experience in eastern Crete.
