Triopetra Beach sits on Crete’s southern shoreline, roughly 50 kilometres south of Rethymno. Three prominent rocks rising from the sea give the beach its name and form its most distinctive landmark, adding a dramatic touch to the coastal views.

A small headland separates the area into two beaches. Large Triopetra stretches along a broad sandy shore, while Small Triopetra nestles in a more enclosed bay with a mixture of sand and rocks. Each offers a different setting for a swim or a leisurely afternoon by the water.

Take time to enjoy the sea, stop for a meal at one of the nearby tavernas, and linger until evening. As the sun sets, the changing light across the water and rock formations provides a beautiful finish to a day at Triopetra.
