Kedrodasos Beach sits close to Elafonisi in the southwestern corner of Crete’s Chania region. Its pale sandy shore meets clear turquoise water, while scattered rocks and gentle dunes give the coastline a varied, natural beauty.

The beach takes its name from a “cedar forest,” though the trees found here are junipers. Their weathered trunks and broad branches shape the landscape and offer pockets of shade. Together with the dunes, they form a valuable coastal habitat.

A visit to Kedrodasos is an opportunity to swim, stroll beside the sea and spend time among the trees. Without organised sunbeds, the beach retains a simple atmosphere, where the sand, water and distinctive junipers provide the setting for a leisurely day.
